So This is the New Year

(Eric)

Happy 2012!

To usher in the new year, I enjoyed a great four-day weekend with Kirsten and Cap. The best part, of course, was the Armed Forces Bowl on Friday.

In order to attend this year's BYU bowl game, Kirsten and I only needed to make the half-hour drive down to SMU. Awesome!

Despite the proximity to the opposing team's campus (Tulsa is only four hours away), most of the attending fans were BYU's. And in case you missed it, our dear old Cougars capped a great game-ending drive with a fake-spike-touchdown-throw to win it with 11 seconds left.

It was a beautiful day and a classic game.

Sam later celebrated by playing with his favorite (of very many) Christmas presents: his new lawnmower.

He also celebrated by dipping cookies in chocolate frosting.

We also enjoyed a New Year's party, the park, playing with our new Wii (thank you Kirsten's parents), visiting with friends and family, blah blah blah.

Hey, nice new shirt on The Sam! Did he get a toy vacuum for Christmas by chance? 'Cause I've heard there's some fascination there, and he has a birthday not too far away...
wagis
(I have some pretty fun word verifications on your blog, so I think I'll start listing the good ones. Isn't a wagis the fatty part around the base of a dog's tail?)
Also, Zoey just saw a picture of Sam and started singing, "Sammy! Sam-my Sam-my Sa-a-am-mee-ee!"

Love the pics! I love dipping cookies in chocolate frosting too. Also, who ending up the big winner in Settlers? Wasn't that part of the new year's celebration? Oh, now I want to add the word verification for this blog entry - 'borkel' - Britt do you or anyone else have a definition

Why Britt, not only does he have one, but actually TWO vacuums. He really like cleaning. He also makes sure to carry the plunger around, ya know, just in case.
