A Sort of Homecoming

My mom called me up after I wrote the post on our visit to Hogle Zoo in Utah. "Why didn't you put up any other pictures from your trip? I wasn't even at the zoo with you!"

Don't worry, Mom. I just hadn't gotten around to it. Your moment in the sun has arrived.

 OK, so maybe this go-kart maxes out at 2 MPH, but it's a start.

 I enjoyed a round of golf with my brother-in-law Greg (in green), my dad (in yellow, surveying Greg's shot), and my uncle Greg. Because the former Greg usually warms up with eight or nine practice swings, getting the photo wasn't too difficult.

If you didn't know any better, you'd be convinced that I was a pro golfer from these shots, right? You'd be wrong. I'm actually an awful golfer. I've heard that it's hard for super athletic, intelligent people to slow down to the droll pace of golf. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Though I may look more stunning while doing so, Uncle Greg is a better golfer.

We also enjoyed a picnic up in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Sadly, there are no mountains like this around here.

There you go, Mom (background). You've now made the big time.
