We recently returned from a trip to Utah, and let me tell you, it was just Utastic! Our first morning up there, we took Cap to the zoo with his Aunt Britt; her kids, Aidan and Zoey; and Aunt Marianne.
Zoey is pensive near Marianne's favorite animal.
Sam and Aidan tamed the tiger statues.
Champ was also impressed by the elephants.
Sammy requires so many snacks that the whole group was satisfied. He has now learned how to sign "more", which works on Kirsten even though it's always a request for more junk food. "I know he already had a whole candy bar, but it was so cute when he signed 'more' that I just had to give him another!"
He thought it was funny to play groundhog.
Though he's gaining a propensity for scowling at the camera, he enjoyed his first visit to the zoo (and smiled plenty).
Afterward, Kirsten curled up with a good book while being embraced by a convenient Snuggie.

oh my gosh. i haven't seen zoey since she was DAYS old...! she's adorable!
Those are the cutest (and biggest) groundhogs I have ever seen. I wish I could've joined you guys at the zoo. Maybe next time.
